She says that if she were to go to Japan and speak their language, she thinks she would be quiet and that never happens. Howard says that Layla has been in the WWE for quiet some time, he asks her since she’s been here, has everything been the way she perceived it to be when she started in WWE. Layla says no, this for her has been the best journey in her life, from day to day. There were days she woke up and feels like she can’t do this and then there are days where she says she loves this, best job ever. And she’s had an amazing career, she never thought that she would last this long coming from the Diva Search, having not a clue what she was getting herself into, what she was doing, no experience, no clue, and she kept herself here because she wanted and vowed to all the fans and people who voted for her in the Diva Search that she will stick around and will be the Diva Search winner that everyone will remember. She also vowed to get better at wrestling and become champion. She then talked about how she was the last Women’s champion and the first British Women’s champion.
Everyday she says thank you to everyone who voted for her and supported her when she was in the Diva Search because they’ve made her dream come true and given her a life that she never, ever thought she was ever going to be apart of. She says how she came from London not expecting anything. She got hurt and was out for a year and to get through that was something that she didn’t know if she could do and to get back in the ring and to be able to do this again. Layla then says that she’s very grateful and very, very humble and she still to this day, wants to say thank you to everyone out there who ever voted for her and gave her this opportunity because it’s still a dream.
Howard then says it’s safe to say that Layla is Britain’s Greatest Export. Layla says that she doesn’t think people know that she’s from England since it says that she hails from Miami , Florida, but she was actually born and raised in London – Chelsea. She also says that she’s lost her accent and when she goes home, her family makes fun of her all the time. Her sisters make fun of her and say ” who are you?” “where are you from”, Layla then says that she didn’t mean to lose her accent and she hopes that one day, she can kind of get it back and people will believe her and be like “OMG, she’s a Londoner.”
Howard the asks Yoshi if he likes going to England to which Yoshi says “Yeah, of course” and Layla says he better say of course. Howard then says that’s it’s a very special weekend and asks Layla what her thoughts and beliefs on Wrestlemania from not only a stand point but from the charitable point of view, from the point of rubbing elbows with the fans. Layla says that it gets better every year. She says she loves Wrestlemania because it’s all over the city, every city they go to , they take over and it generates money into the community and not only that, she feels like it’s the best time and the best week. She says they actually get to give back to the community, they get to do all the charity events. She then goes on to say that this year has been amazing for her. She says that she was at St.Mary’s Hospital for Children, got to see the first respondents for hurricane Sandy, and also for 9/11, just to show back that WWE cares, that WWE cares about the fans and the people who serve our country. To her, Wrestlemania is phenomenal, it’s touching, it’s like excitement, it makes you cry and makes you happy, and it makes her proud to be a WWE Diva.
She goes on to say that the matches are also phenomenal and it’s the icing on the cake. Layla then says that it’s not only that, but the fans. She says that she spent three hours taking photos with everybody and she’s hugged about 400 people! “You guys are the best fans in the world.” Layla says that she was in the NBA and she’s seen the fans but the WWE fans are the most passionate and sometimes frantic and say she’s kidding then goes on to say that the fans shows you how they feel and that if they love you, they love you and then says she’s talking too much and apologizes.
Layla then says she wants to talk to the fans. The first fans are Misha and Brad, Layla says they’re beautiful and asks them how old they are. Layla then says that they’re babies and congratulates them on their marriage. Layla then says that she’s kind of jealous. Misha then asks Layla what made her want to be a WWE Diva and how can she become a Diva. Layla tells Misha that she is absolutely beautiful and that she could totally be a Diva. All she has to do is tell WWE that Misha wants to be a Diva. She then says that you got to have the passion for it, and that she has the looks. Layla then answers that it fell on her hands, she didn’t know, she was a dancer and wanted to be an entertainer, and the Diva Search fell on her lap and said to herself that there was no way she could do this. Layla says it’s tough and hard and she fell in love. She says she’s addicted to it. Layla says she was just a very fortunate person , it was time in, and she feels like sometimes just because you don’t plan to be something, you just don’t know, you’re destined to be that and you just don’t realy realize it and that what she thinks happened with her. Layla then starts to sing “Chapel of Love” by the Dixie Cups to Misha and Brad. Layla and Howardthen try to get Yoshi to sing along. Yoshi then starts singing a Japanese song while Layla dances next to him.
We move on to the next fan, Cameron, from Arkansas. Cameron says that he has one question and one request. He asks Layla to say happy birthday to his friend Keith Nelson to which Layla wishes him a happy birthday and she hopes that has many, many, many more birthdays and have a special day. Yoshi then says happy birthday and then the two start singing the ‘Happy Birthday’ song. Cameron says that he knows Layla and Kaitlyn are good friends, but if she were to go after the Divas title, would that mess up their friendship? Layla says that she’s been asked them so many times recently and she’s at the point where she feels like she’s been the nice girl and she’s done the whole friendship thing and she’s learning that it’s not getting her anywhere. Layla says that she lost the title because she thought that Eve was going to be fair and was going to be a good sport about it and she wasn’t, so she says that she’s going to have to put Kaitlyn’s friendship aside and be selfish. She says that she wants her title back and she wants to claim it again and says sorry to Kaitlyn. If she gets the opportunity to get the title, Kaitlyn will have to put up a fight because Layla is coming back and she’s coming back with a vengeance. “That title belongs to Layla”, says Layla.
The next fan is Adam from Manhattan. Adam says that he got to meet Layla on Thursday at the Sandy Relief party and she looked beautiful. He asks Layla how was it for her to be apart of this, New York and Sandy Relief. Layla says that to be there that night was actually amazing. She couldn’t believe the turn out of the event and it showed how much the community cares and the auctions, it was very touching. Layla says that earlier on that day, she went out to Lexington Avenue Armory who were the first respondents of hurricane Sandy. She said that just to see them and to know that they were in awe that WWE was throwing the party that night. At the end of the day, that’s what WWE is here for in this world. “We’re here to show, we’re here for each other.” Layla said that it was very touching to see everybody out there and everyone there for a great cause and everybody had a great time. She says that she had a great time and it was very beautiful.
Howard then goes on to the Twitter questions. The first question is from Tania, who asks if she could wrestle any Diva from the past, who would it be. Layla says that she’s changed her mind so many times about this from Lita, Trish, but in all honest, it would be Michelle McCool. Layla says that she and Michelle had a great chemistry together, they are best friends, and that’s one match she would like to have again. Howard then says that Lay-Cool was one of the best Diva teams, does she think that right now that Lay-Cool should be remembered for what they accomplished or would she like to give it another go. Layla says that it’s a tough question and that she would love for Lay-Cool to be remembered. She says that she thinks they were entertaining, whether people loved them or hated them. She would like those days to be remembered but she would honestly, she could do a Lay-Cool reunion if Chelle was up for it. If they can mend it, they could have a Lay-Cool reunion. Layla then gets up and does the old “flawless” action.
Howard then asks Layla what she thinks about Trish getting inducted into the Hall of Fame. Layla says that she’s a huge fan of Trish Stratus. “Honestly, I am so happy for her and she deserves it. If there’s not one Diva out there who doesn’t deserve it, it’s Trish and she made the way, for girls like me. You know, girls who they were models.” She says that Trish was a sports model and she trained and showed dedication. Layla said that she’s very talented, beautiful, has the personality, and can wrestle. Layla says that tonight, she feel very happy and privileged that she gets to see her get inducted. And not only that, Layla also loves the fact that Stephanie is going to induct her. She also says that she loved working with Trish when she got to work with her and it’s going to be a very special night.
Howard then thanks Layla for joining them. Yoshi and Layla say good bye and Layla thanks the fans and blows a few kisses.
